Women’s Tuesday Evening Bible Study
Tuesdays from 6:30-8:00 PM |
This verse-by-verse study of the book of Titus using One to One Bible Reading is a group/community effort in which everyone attending will be involved in the process of studying and digging into Scripture. This approach will be familiar to some and new to others. This study is for every woman, in all stages of life and spiritual maturity.
Working with one another prayerfully, we will see how to dig out the historical, literary, and Biblical contexts; make observations about the truths contained in the passage; mine the principles of Biblical and systematic theology in view; make connections to the the Gospel message ; and figure out how to make logical and Biblical application to our lives that flow from the observations and meaning in the passage.
The focus of the study will be Paul’s entire message to Titus. Each session will look at small portions of the letter, so that we study the book slowly and deeply, wringing out the various themes and emphases. It is my hope that this will help each one of us to learn this study method for use in our own Bible reading and study, as well as to be able to help others use sound study methods to know who God is, who we are, and how we are to please Him by living under His sovereign authority. Our foundational purpose is to really grasp the Gospel in a fresh and deeper way, so that our lives and worldviews are in sync with Scripture, and so that we seek to live covenantally and think Biblically, aiming to glorify God and enjoy Him forever.
Class will be held at Nancy Green’s home, 9184 Keats St, Franklin, and will begin on Tuesday, January 9, 2024, from 6:30-8:00 PM. Meetings will be on January 9, 16 and 23; February 6; skip the Lenten Season (February 13 through the end of March 2024); and pick back up in April 2, 9, 16 and 23, to finish our study.
