Tuesday mornings 10-11:30 AM @Parish or Tuesday evenings 6:30-8:00 PM @Nancy Green’s Home (9184 Keats, Franklin) | This verse-by-verse study of Peter’s first letter will be a group effort in which everyone will be directly involved in the process of studying and digging, finding the context, making observations, discerning meaning, and making applications. Some of you are familiar with this, and to some it will be new. We will be using David Helm's book One-to-One Bible Reading to learn the method (please let us know if you need a copy of the book when filling out the form).

This study is for everyone, all stages and maturity. Working with one another prayerfully, we will see how to dig out the historical, literary, and Biblical contexts; make observations about the truths contained in the passage; mine the Biblical and systematic theology discussed; see the Gospel message and connections; and figure out how to make logical and Biblical application to our lives that flow from the observations and meaning we have developed from the passage.

We will study a short section each week, for 13 weeks. The sessions will run from the Tuesday following Labor Day (Sept. 3) through December 17th, the week before Christmas. We will meet together on Tuesday mornings and evenings. Childcare is provided free of charge to you for Tuesday morning sessions. Please let us know if you need it!
