What Is Reformed Theology? by R. C. Sproul will be the topic/book for our Women’s Summer Study.  We'll get a brief introduction to the book at the Parish Women's Summer Kick-off Brunch on Saturday June 1st (more details to come).  Then, we will meet in various homes from 6:30-8:00 PM, every Tuesday night beginning June 4 and running through August 6, 2024.  The plan is to read one chapter per week and come prepared to discuss.  Books are now being ordered and will be available from the Church Office or Nancy Green [contact at 615.881.2155 or nancy.s.green@icloud.com].

In What Is Reformed Theology, we will see that it is a study primarily of God Himself, much more than “religion,” and secondarily how we respond to Him. Dr. Sproul provides this introductory course to show us that Reformed Theology is centered on God, based on His Word alone, committed to faith alone, devoted to Jesus Christ, and covenantally structured. We will examine our own radical corruption, God’s sovereign choice, Christ’s purposeful atonement, the Holy Spirit’s effective call, and God’s preservation of those He has saved.

This study is for those who are new to Parish AND for those already well-acquainted with these truths. It is our belief that we will thrive better as Christians when we are in awe of His great love and mercy toward us. We’re thinking that pondering Reformed Theology might provide just what we need!
