Join Parish women and girls of all ages this summer as we examine some of the prayers of the apostle Paul. We will be using the book and video series Praying with Paul, by D. A. Carson and the Gospel Coalition. Each week will challenge group members to participate in the reading, discussion, praying, and application, so that what we learn makes a lasting difference in our lives. Your prayer life may not need a jump-start, but this course is designed to help all of us grow deeper in faith and dependence upon God.
We'll get a brief introduction to the study at the Parish Women's Summer Kick-off Brunch on Saturday May 31st (see this Brunch Sign-up Form for more information), and then we will meet every Tuesday evening thereafter through the months of June and July, at Clovercroft Hall, from 6:30-8:00 PM.
Assignment before the first week (June 3rd) -- please read the Preface, Introduction and the 1st Chapter of Praying with Paul.
We encourage participants to do the reading assignments (a chapter or 2 of the book) and meditate on the main scripture, ahead of time; we will then come together on Tuesday nights to watch a short video, examine relevant scriptures, answer discussion questions, and put what we’ve learned into practice.
Purchase your copy of the book Praying with Paul, from the Parish bookstore, for $7 per copy. Pease contact Nancy Green for more information -- Call or text 615.881.2155 or send an email to nancy.s.green@icloud.com.
